Turn one video into a week of content
The creators who seem to post everywhere aren't filming all day. They record once and atomize โ slicing a single long video into a week of formats. Here are five plays you can run on every upload, from fastest to highest-effort.
1. The transcript โ article (10 min)
Start by transcribing the video to text. Clean the intro, add subheadings, publish it as a blog post. You now rank for everything you said on camera โ the highest-ROI step and the base layer for everything below.
2. The quote thread (10 min)
Scan the transcript for 5โ7 punchy lines. Each becomes one post in an X/LinkedIn thread or a carousel slide. The text is already written โ you're just curating.
3. The 3 vertical clips (20 min)
Pull the three highest-energy moments and cut them to 9:16 for Shorts, Reels and TikTok. Use the timestamps from your transcript to find them in seconds instead of scrubbing.
4. The newsletter (15 min)
Your video's intro is already a hook. Expand it into a short email, link the full video and the article, done. One recording now feeds your list.
5. The evergreen download archive
Keep a clean master file of each video so you can re-cut it months later. You can download from YouTube, Instagram or TikTok in full quality and keep an organized library โ future-you repurposes without re-filming.
The one tool that unlocks 1โ4
Notice that four of the five plays start from the transcript. Get the text first and the rest is curation, not creation. That's the whole trick: don't make more โ make the same thing go further.
